I am in the planning stages of an email venture. I have Imail and I am
concerned about setting up virtual email hosts without IP addresses.
My understanding is that I can do it with or without IPs, but that without
IPs, the full address must be entered in the web interface to access email,
etc.
What does this do to efficiency and network overhead?
I plan to have approximately 100 virtual hosts, each with potentially
50,000+ users. I can guarentee that imail will be pushed to the very limit
at some point and I will have to look for multi-server options, clustering,
whatever.
Anyway back to the IP issue. My ISP is griping about giving me IPs and says
I won't need them. I am concerned about speed and performance.
Any advice????
Thanks
