No event id 5000's in the log.   You never found a fix?

After cold boot, look for event id 5000.

I had this error appear on a W2K SP4 server box in May and June.  I 
ended up replacing/decommissioning it.  Fortunately, VNC doesn't depend 
on Windows authentication.
