Roger that last Darin. Sometimes the SMTP "conversation" will never
finish though. All email is not legitimate and not all email gets
delivered intact what ever the email software. We handle multiple
programs in Linux and Windows.

Ok, how about incomplete instead of orphaned?
Regardless of what we want to call them, The T files are files for which the
SMTP conversation has not yet finished.

"orphaned" should never be a term used by an email system... The messages
should go SOMEWHERE. I've never seen any other mail system handle messages
in such a way as to "orphan" them and just leave them lying around... It's a
lame way to deal with such messages, but that's really IPSwitch's fault.
It's yet another reason why we need to get away from iMail. Anyway, as I've
tried to say, these messages are legit and should not be "hanging around" at
all.
If I told a tech that these legitimate messages are in the queue, that
should be deliverable according to the contents of the files I see sitting
around, I wonder if he'd still slap a blatantly generic, presumptuous label
of "orphaned" on them. If so, then the whole flippin' system is invalid as
far as I'm concerned. These messages SHOULD be going somewhere, and I can
verify their validity, or I too would call them orphaned. I wonder if the T
files remain, un-renamed to Q files, because the message is only partially
received or something?

The maintenance agreement was a joke... The promise of 'upgrades' was lame,
and with the latest nonsense about ICS I will never again lock myself into a
long term relationship with this company. This list was always more helpful
and knowledgeable than the people I talked to at dIPSwitch, if I could ever
reach them at all. So no, I don't have a maintenance agreement.
