Hmmm...
Are you on the same subnet with these
servers?
Are they firewalled separately from your internal
LAN (i.e. DMZ)?
What does a tracert to the servers
show?
Can you connect to other services
on IMail1?
Are you attempting to connect by
IP, NetBIOS name, or FQDN?
Does your local DNS cache have a different
IP?
Can you connect from another PC on your
LAN?

Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] SMTP errors from my system to one of my
Imail servers Sorry. A little more
background. 1)
Imail 2 is
using port 25 as well. I can telnet to it without issue. Its only Imail 1 that
gives me issues. 2)
I host
these servers myself so I am my own ISP. To get to these servers I need go no
further than my own firewall. The trick of this is
that, to my knowledge, nothing has changed on my firewall or my network.

On Behalf Of Darin Cox Is IMail 2 also on port 25?
What ISP are you using? Some ISPs block currently port 25 traffic except
to their mail servers, and more are joining them every
day.

Forum] SMTP errors from my system to one of my Imail
servers Hello
All, Ive got 2 Imail servers here (7.15
HF2) and starting today Ive been having problems sending emails through one of
my Imail servers, Ill call it Imail 1. I cannot send using
Outlook or Outlook Express thru Imail 1 but I can if using the Web Interface. I
also cannot telnet to Imail 1. I get an error message that port 25 is being
blocked. Now, my other server, Imail 2, can send emails just fine. I can telnet
to it without issue. Let me also note that Imail 1 is my hosting mail server and
is used by hundreds of folks. No one has contacted me in any way
to complain which leads me to assume
that its me. Ive scanned my system for spyware and such and the only thing it
found was a bunch of cookies and WildTangent, which I removed. Ive tried
disabling my McAfee AV softwares email scanner, Ive rebooted my system, all to
no avail. While I am running XP Pro I am not running SP2 and do not have the XP
firewall active. Any
thoughts on troubleshooting this? Thanks! Serveon,
