I am not sure I just know that it has increased security. I wish there were
a webpage showing the specs on Microsoft and Bind DNS. Like performance
between the two and how much memory they take. But you should get the url of
the 8.8.2 release.

I am using 4.9.7 on NT4 SP6a for both primary and secondary. Both boxes are
Pentium II 350s with 384 megs of PC100 ECC SDRAM and have other
responsibilities besides DNS. With informational event logging turned off,
the primary can get quite busy with requests yet there is never any
noticeable drag on the machine or any of its other services.

I am glad to hear that there is a non-MetaInfo version 8 contribution
available now. I would like to give it a try. Version 8 uses a different
zone and config file format, doesn't it?
