Subject: [IMail Forum] Navy and Marines blocking access to e-mail accounts
overseas . . .

Thought some of you might find this an interesting read.

============================================

The Navy and Marines have now joined the ranks of those banning free e-mail
services such as Yahoo!, Hotmail, and Google, from overseas government
computers. They are also banning access to AOL from those same computers.

"Access to such services leaves the unclassified government network too
susceptible to hackers and computer viruses," said Neal Miller, a senior
plans and policy manager with Naval Network Warfare Command in Norfolk, Va.
