The maximum is what the OS will allow; but you don't want so many threads that it brings the OS to it's knees. >What about the Listen Pipes? The listen pipes are only the named pipes that the queue manager listens on when a new file is dropped in the queue. Adjusting this value will really not do anything for you unless you are having problems with the queue manager seeing new files.
