My installed  version 2006 is working great and I am real happy.  Also installed  the latest updates and it still works fine.

Hi Kevin,

We're still waiting to install 2006.  We've got the SA and a server just waiting, but based on the reports, we don't consider 2006 to be a usable product yet.  I don't want to sound like one of these guys that just whines and complains (hey, my 17-year-old daughter has already perfected that), but email is such a critical business factor that even the smallest problem can put us on the hot seat.  So I'm waiting very anxiously.

By the way, IMAP support is critical to us; that represents the vast majority of our clients and is what we recommend to them.  It has superior features compared to POP3 and superior speed compared to the web interface.  So those are the glitches that we worry most about.

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

So after talking with a few folks, what we found is that there is a “main” listed in the News.rc file in the user directory.  This is what IMAP uses to know what folders the user is subscribed to.  There are two ways to get rid of it:

1) Delete Main from news.rc OR

2) Have the user unsubscribe to the IMAP folder using Outlook.

We still can't reproduce but after deleting the main from news.rc or unsubscribing to main, we're very interested in hearing if Main comes back.

bye for now,

kg

Hi Kevin,

Does 2006.02 fix the problem with the Inbox and the main folder between WebMail and IMAP?

Thanks,

Ben

Subject: [IMail Forum] Update on IMail 2006.02...

Hi All,

So it turns out that some customers have encountered some upgrade issues (related to Queue Manager and we believe the licensing technology), enough so that, with great disappointment, we have decided to pull back the .02 and revert to .01, until we better understand what is happening.  We are working late tonite to figure out what it is and why it's only certain scenarios where this is happening.

For those who have already done the upgrade and it's working, you can continue running .02.

Best recommendation for those affected is to roll back to 2006.01.

Will keep you posted and sorry for the churn, especially for those affected.

Bye for now,

kg
