Hi,

The ISP could potentially be blocking port 25, the standard SMTP port. Have them try to telnet into the SMTP server. Most ISP’s do offer a workaround SMTP server to remedy this issue.

Subject: [IMail Forum] SMTP error

One of our users is trying to connect via smtp w/outlook 2000 and it's getting this:

09:46:04:     (Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.)

What can be happening?  she can connect to pop3.  I don't have any entries in imail's log either.  I only see pop3 entries but no smtp.
