For some reason, I believe this could also happen if the
user has Norton Internet Security installed.
There are som articles about this on the
web.
I do not remember exactely where, but try searching google
with the error-text.

One of our users is
trying to connect via smtp w/outlook 2000 and it's getting

network problems, or a long period of inactivity.)
What can be
happening? she can connect to pop3. I don't have any entries in
imail's log either. I only see pop3 entries but no
smtp.
