Exactly!

In iMail 2006 use the following – the GUI sets these values.

EnableExtraPort=1

ExtraPort=587

ForceAuthOnExtraPort=1  If you want to force auth, otherwise leave 0

In 8.2x here is your KB article:

Is this as simple as flipping the bit on EnableExtraPort in the registry?

Yes, if it is version 8.2x or Imail 2006.X

Travis,

Can Imail listen on both ports 25 and 587 simultaneously?

Thanks

Matt

Version 8.2x and 2006.0X will allow her to use port 587 as well.  Just configure it on up in Imail.

I'm suspecting it is because I don't see her hitting our firewall and not even our server.  I will check with her isp.

Is her Port 25 blocked?

One of our users is trying to connect via smtp w/outlook 2000 and it's getting this:

09:46:04:     (Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.)

What can be happening?  she can connect to pop3.  I don't have any entries in imail's log either.  I only see pop3 entries but no smtp.
