FWIW, SmarterMail does provide an archiving feature.  
http://www.smartertools.com/Products/SmarterMail/Features.aspx.  However, you 
should be able to accomplish this by using iMail's copyall with some rules:

I think you are asking the wrong question. I do not think any e-mail server out 
of the box provides the means for archiving and search according to SEC 
requirements. What are used are 3rd party applications combined with features 
of in this case Imail's copyall configuration. 
 
There was discussion about this before, so a search of the archives will help 
you.

I was wondering if anyone from ipswitch would know if Imail meets any 
requirement from the SEC concerning imail server. We have a customer that is 
required to maintain and store all emails from their domain. I'm sure others 
have similar requests and wanted to know what you guys are doing on this.
