thank you for admitting their is a problem and you're working on it. that's all we want to hear. I think everyone can understand programming isn't perfect and you can't really test it completely but we don't want to hear there isn't a problem.

If the files that remain in the spool start with T and D, but not Q, that means the client disconnected before SMTPD could issue the 250 OK signaling to the client that the message has been accepted for delivery.  We have been working this issue for 2006.1 to delete the orphaned T and D files.

What feature might you mean?  Did you resolve your issue?

bingo, same here! This is a new feature of 2006.

Imail pushed the blame towards our use of mxguard when this was reported.

I get the following information for every thread I have checked.  My

The log entries then stop and no further details are given.  They then
remain in the spool directory indefinitely.

If you have upgraded to 2006, you should have an activation key as well.
If
you don't activate within 30 days of installing, your queue manager will
stop running until it has been activated.

You should be able to look at the Q file for the messages which aren't
being
delivered and get the thread ID from the q file (the thread ID is in the
line starting with the letter I. The I is not part of the threadID).
Then
search for that thread ID in the logs and see why the message is not
being
delivered.

The majority of the messages are being delivered, yes.  If they were
not, I
would probably have well over 100k messages in queue now.  For some
reason,
select messages are being left.

The smtp log doesn't show any obvious errors, just the usual server
connection errors or unknown user errors now and again.

This was an Upgrade and I was not provided an activation key, so I don't
believe it is activated, whatever that means.  However, I do not know
where
to find a status page that tells me if it is activated.  The upgrade
instructions I was given do not mention the activation and this was a
service contract upgrade, not a new purchase.

Are messages being delivered?  Check your smtp logs to see if there are
any
errors.  Is the queue manager running?  Did you activate?

Just a note... the upgrade appears to have gone pretty smooth and all my
services are running.  The list administration was the first issue I had
encountered.

I do have one other issue, which appears after the upgrade.  My spool
folder
is slowly incrementing in size.  I now have 4000 message where I
normally
maintain only a few hundred.  This concerns me because it is slowly
increasing in number each minute.  Are there any known issues with 2006
that
may cause orphaned files in the spool directory at a rate of around four
orphaned messages per minute?

I have upgraded to Imail 2006 and notice issues when attempting to view
or
configure lists using the web management.  When I enter list
administration,
my lists do not show on the screen.  Strangely enough, if I go to the
SMTP
services screen and then return to list administration, the lists will
then
appear.  However, when I attempt to configure a specific list, I get
this
error each time:

Microsoft JScript runtime error '800a0005'

Invalid procedure call or argument

/IAdmin/IMail/ListGeneral.asp, line 16

Any ideas?
