I think you nailed it Randy.
From the last paragraph of the Ipswitch link:
3.) (Does not apply after version 8.12.) Another DNS device on the same
server is conflicting with IMail's DNS resolver.
- IMail's DNS resolver listens on port 53. Another DNS device (such as
a DNS server) running on the same computer as IMail will cause issues.
I'm running Version 8.12, so I disabled MS DNS and pointed IMail to a DNS
server of our upstream provider. I'm still testing, but it looks good.
Obviously this is a temporary solution. I guess I need to get with Ipswitch
and upgrade to at least 8.22. Then look at a real DNS package like
SimpleDNS.
Strange that it was running fine for over a year with the MS DNS on the same
machine.
I'll keep you posted on test results.
