Technically, there's no such RFC or protocol called "(world-wide) web)".
www is the conventional DNS label for the HTTP service: www.domain.tld.
web means Internet, which includes all RFC protocols.
Imail is a web (application) server that supports LDAP, IMAP, POP,
HTTP, SMTP, etc protocols.
Imail applications that use HTTP protocol, are mailbox access,
message composition/sending, and admin.
