Subject: [IMail Forum] Does this sound
fair?
How many people have yet to upgrade? I've not seen
sufficient messages in this forum saying the iMail 2006 is as stable as my
current version 8.22.
The following is my response to an advertising email
to renew my service agreement from ipswitch:
To be honest, us loyal customers that extended our
service agreements for another year but never got a full year of new working
stable software should be compensated.
I paid for iMail 2006 but never installed it because
it has yet to reach stable levels. Personally I am very unhappy that ipswitch
looked the other way and took our money without ever compensating anyone for
the false advertising of a product as stable and ready for production when it
was not.... We should all get another year of service contract without having
to pay twice for what has not yet been provided...

Thank you for your
email.
There were various
bugs in the IMail Server that was released in December of
2005.
However the minor
release of 2006.1 has been in development since last December, and was
released early September 2006.
This proves, and
we are confident that this is a much more stable, reliable, user friendly
version of IMail Server.
What's been done
to 2006.1:
-Improved
performance in the Queue Manager and Web Messaging, now up to 50%
Faster
- Added Active
Directory support
-Improvements to
web messaging including personal groups, streamlined address book management
and more
-Improved public
contacts list
-Improved SMTPD
performance and more
I would recommend
trying out a free trial evaluation of the IMail Server 2006.1 and see
the difference for yourself.
Please let me know
if I can be of any further help!
Thank
you,
