Let me explain the quandary: I thought about doing the ASSP install, but so
far I've only heard about ASSP running as a gateway between the mail server
and the outside world. Only after reading your email am I aware of the
possibility of installing ASSP on the Imail server.

Another email I read recently here talked about the low processor cycle hit
his "specially built" box took, but I don't want to risk swamping our mail
server, if you know what I mean. Which is why I asked about the Ipswitch
product... My thinking is that the software must be written to accommodate
the spam-hunting requirement, as well as the mail-serving requirement.

However, in the interest and pursuit of knowledge, I am very curious to
learn more about ASSP as a feature that runs alongside Imail Server on the
same box. Any suggestions you might offer (or links that acknowledge a
same-box-install) would be tremendous.

If you'd like to email anything directly to me, send it to egeater at
mscoinc dot com.

Thanks so much!
Eric
