Thank you for the direction Julie. It appears to be an issue with
Outlook. I will ask them to set their send/receive a bit higher.

Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Duplicate Messages 8.22

In the web mail do they show duplicate messages?

In the past when I've dealt with this, I back up their mailbox, rules,
etc.
Delete the account as well as clearing it from the registry. Be sure to
check the registry after deleting the account. If it is Imail or the
server
that is having this problem, you'll delete the account and you will
still
find it in the registry.
I had to call Imail to walk me through it. And if you use virtual
domains,
there are two entries for each.... if my memory is correct.

Otherwise, I usually find this is a mail client issue:
Ex: MS Outlook usually takes longer than O.E. to send/receive.
Sometimes
the 'lock' file gets stuck and causes this problem. I make sure that
the
auto s/r is set to at least 2 minutes to prevent this problem.

Thanks,
Julie

Subject: [IMail Forum] Duplicate Messages 8.22

I am running Imail 8.22 and I have a customer that has a complaint about
duplicate messages. This has happened many times in the past where some
messages will be duplicated in their inbox. It usually just goes away
for a
while. I am at a loss to explain it. I have cleared the cache, their
mailbox, their mailbox index, but none of this appears to help.

Does anyone know why duplicate messages appear in 8.22? I need some
direction to start.
