The DNS server on the NIC, which is also known as the windows DNS server, needs to be your internal AD DNS server if you are running AD. I specifically asked about what DNS server Imail is using as that can and is often a different DNS server. For example, on my Imail server, Imail is configured to use the DNS service that is running on the Imail server itself. That DNS service is configured as a cache only service and is ONLY used by Imail, and that DNS service is configure to go directly to the root servers for resolution. The server itself, Windows, on the NIC properties, is configured to use my AD DNS servers for domain resolution.
