The DNS cache in the queue manager is a memory only cache; if you stop and
start the queue manager it's gone. After restarting the queue manager if
it's still using the old address that means it's getting that address from
somewhere else.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Can't clear DNS cache!
I am having problems sending mail to a certain domain.
When I do, I get a bounced message - bad address.
When looking at my log files, it shows that it's pulling an address from
the
DNS cache.
This address has been changed & is no longer correct.
I can ping the mail server & the correct address shows, I can pull up
their
webmail page through Internet Explorer.
Imails DNS cache is where my problem lies.
I have tried clearing it, stopping & restarting the Que Manager & SMTP
services & even unchecked the box for using this, but it still doesn't
work!!!
What else can I do to get this bad address out of the DNS cache?!?!?
I am running 8.15.
