For those of us who can't affort the upgrade, what's the best work-around? I was thinking of hacking SMTPd32.exe so the HELO is "wrong"<g>.
Currently, it's "220 %s (IMail 8.15 %u-%u) NT-ESMTP Server X1", and the format function fills it out to "220 mail.visioncomm.net (IMail 8.15 55399-3) NT-ESMTP Server X1". I was thinking of changing it to: "220 %s (RxMail beta 74.3) NT-ESMTP Server X1" which would expand to: "220 mail.visioncomm.net (RxMail beta 74.3) NT-ESMTP Server X1". What does the group think? Will the exploiters probably leave me alone? Does anybody else care? Dan Actually, I'd use some other "made up" string that is NOT published in the email archives. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Sanford Whiteman Sent: Friday, February 02, 2007 12:08 PM To: Brian L.
