For the SMTPD32 vulnerability, there's no workaround within IMail. > What does the group think? Will the exploiters probably leave me > alone? Does anybody else care? I'd say they will *probably* leave you alone, but there are other ways of fingerprinting an IMail system, and you can't patch the binary for all of them. I would sleep slightly better, so it's worth a shot... as long as nobody else at the company thinks you're absolutely protected against this particular vulnerability (in other words, if there're adequate disclaimers). --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/download/release/ Defuse Dictionary Attacks: Turn Exchange or IMail mailboxes into IMail Aliases! http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/exchange2aliases/download/release/ http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/ldap2aliases/download/release/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
