The event viewer would be handy if it actually had a translation for the
result....

I do find it helpful in trouble shooting the OS and  some App's....
But it would be nice if MS could tie in a KB of event viewer errors that
could be launched right from it (EV)...and go right to the error id on the
web.

aaahhhh... it's MS......

You know what...I agree with you...I think Microsoft should just remove the
Event Viewer from Windows all together.  It is one of the most useless
features I have ever seen.  I wish I knew as much about Windows NT and email
as you.....

Why would you want to use the NT event viewer?  I find Imail's text file 
logs to be completely useful.  What would logging to NT event file gain us?
