Thanks Len

Sorry I wasn't too clear on the second question.  An example of what I meant is:  One of my customers works at a university (which is out of our dialup range) where they have their own internet access (not through us). So he is on the web from outside our IP range. If I set our imail server to relay for only our IP address range, can he still get his pdqlink mail by going to the mail.pdqlink.com web site.

I guess I didn't understand what you meant by "if they are seen by Imail....from within my Class C.

Also, if I may add a question - Lately our imail server (which is all that system does) has been maxing out on CPU usage.  The only thing I have noticed is that McAffee kicks in along with snmp AND In the event log ACECLIENT is not responding. I cant find anything on ACECLIENT.  Any ideas?

TIA

Michael
Question 2 - will my users still be able to use mail.xxxx.com?

If they are seen by Imail as sending smtp mail from your class C, yes.

If not within your Class C, they will have to use SMTP authentification, setup in the email clients.

OR - should I set it for Relay Local which would include all my dialup
customers?

that's an alternative approach, which is not available, btw, if you are relaying mail for any other mail hosts, say Exchange at your clients' sites. see Imail 6 manual, page 116.  Then you are stuck with the relay for <ip addresses> and your dialup users NOT coming into your ip modem ports will have to use SMTP AUTHorization.
