I recommended that text be sent along with HTML by default due to issues with backwards compatability, and also due to issues with these non-HTML devices that have parsing issues when they try to make their own plain-text version up. Sending plain-text along with HTML is the default for most every E-mail client that I am aware of, however IMail's webmail doesn't bother creating a text version currently. I'm afraid that allowing someone to send as plain-text won't be enough since it is the recipient that will have the issues and the sender won't always be aware of these sorts of things, and there is not much sense in thinking that they can all be educated about it.

This would appear that BB wants a text version of HTML mail. Either use
HTML, or Ipswitch would have to send a text email along with each HTML
email. I could be wrong but I believe that is what was said before.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Now Blackberrys are getting Blank Emails

IPSWITCH please look at this before releasing the final version of 2006.2!
I've gotten a number of complaints from blackberry users over the last two
days that they are just getting the subject and blank Emails.

If this situation continues into the next version I will have to dump Imail
