I don't know about 2006.2, but 2006.1 still uses "password" as the password for root. Root is disabled by default, but I don't know whether that will stop SMTP AUTH.

You can find instances of password = "password" by searching the IMail section of the registry for the string E2D0E2E7E9DEE1D8 whichis the encrypted version of "password".

Thanks, good advice. I thought I had them all changed but I'll go through them again.

It just seems odd that there apparently isn't anyway to tell. I think they changed this in later versions though.
