Thanks Ted... but the WorkgroupShare DSN is shown as a System DSN and it does point to the workgroupshare.mdb.

Since this was a new server install, doesn't this indicate that the old external db info came across via moving the registry containing the IMail info? I looked in the registry and found this:

in (IPSwitch/IMail/Domains/mail.hnb.com) which shows AuthDatabaseDLL as C:\Imail\odbcuser.dll*Imailsecdb*may19.

We stopped using an external db about 7 years ago, and this appears to be the problem. Can I **SAFELY** delete this reference in the registry??? Would I delete the entire line or just the reference to odbcuser.dll. Would that be all that's necessary? Would I then run the wgscvt conversion utility agan?

I really get nervous about screwing with a registry on a production server.

Thanks
~Joe

To check this, see if there is a WorkgroupShare DSN and if it points to the
workgroupshare.mdb. If these are missing then that is likely your issue.

Subject: [IMail Forum] address book didn't convert

We just updated our IMail to 2006.2 from 8.x. Our address books did not
convert, or at least not all of them.

This is the text shown when I run the wgscvt.exe utility. It appears to have
found an external database (DSN=IMAILSECDB) and I think we did at one
time,.... a long time ago. Is there perhaps a registry entry which is
pointing to this old db and that's what wgscvt is trying to use?

How can I correct this? I've tried a couple of different versions of wgscvt,
but neither worked. One came with 2006.2 and the other I downloaded from
IPSwitch.
