I upgraded from 2006.1 to 2006.21 the third week of July. Since my users
are school district personnel, I can't say summer is our busiest time
and I only have @ 800 user accounts, so maybe my experience isn't
typical. But IMail has been running since then with only 1 reboot. I
have had 2 calls from people who couldn't get into WebMail and I walked
them through clearing their caches (or using something other than AOL)
and it worked after that.
I too am getting the Information message in the Event Viewer (running on
Win2003 server) mentioned in the previous post for Event Code 4005 -
Forms authenticated failed for the request. Reason: The ticket supplied
expired. etc. Would like to know what it means but it doesn't seem to
have affected anything operationally (at least not yet). My logs
indicate normal login activity (I don't know which are WebMessaging and
which are email clients - would love to know if someone can enlighten me).
I tested the new version on PCs and Macs all OS flavors and several mail
client programs. My final conclusion is the improvements in WebMessaging
are very worth the upgrade. But again, I have a small shop.

I am scheduled to upgrade to version 2006.21 Monday, 20 August. After
upgrading to 2006.2 we experienced webmail instability. Sometimes
restarting IIS services worked, sometimes the server needed rebooting.
We also had to rebuild the workshare database (Access) 3 or 4 times.
Reading today's posts makes me feel that the problems in 2006.2 are not
corrected.
Our Imail server houses 8400+ users with probably 60-70% using browsers.
Can someone give me some honest insight on the stability of version
2006.21.
Thank you, Jim
