I don't understand.... My server receives an email to an unknown user on my domain. How can I turn it off so that my server does not send a notice back, to the spoofed address, that it is a bad address?

It is the problem of the sending server that is connecting to yours, that server is either acting as an open relay or has one (or more) of its users that is compromised.
