There are several things you can do the get to the bottom of the issue.
1)look for event viewer messages and crash dump for IMAP
2)turn on debug logging for IMAP and set it to log to either the log server
or the default IMail log, whichever one is not being currently used. (these
can get very large so keep an eye on disk space)
Debug logging logs all activity. When a crash happens, look in the logs at
the time of the crash to see what is happening.
Either way, if you need additional help, email me off list and I will do
what I can to help track this down.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Old mail server problem

Hi,

I asked about this the other day and didn't get any response. I realize
we're talking about an old version, but I'd like to understand what's going
on. Is it a latent bug in that version of the software, a collapse due to a

hack attempt, or something else. Here is my original post and any help
would be appreciated.
