Sure, this bit me, too.
DNSExpert runs within your relay-for ip blocks, it sends a mail through the
MX to someplace in @ Man and Mice and then checks the mailbox to see if the
mail was received and concludes the relay worked.
If you do the same test from outside your address blocks, the relay will fail.

I have set the SMTP security on my IMail system to include only the 3 class
