James,
Since you were added via the Web, your subscribe data did not get added to
both files (user.txt, user.lst) that IMail uses for determining who is a
'subscriber', so your email request is rejected. If you removed yourself via
the web, and then sent email to the imailsrv to subscribe to the list, that
would add the needed entries to the user.lst and user.txt files and now your
help and list commands will work. Alternately, you could modify the
users.txt file (use care, if done incorrectly, can cause problems) to
include the needed data. By subscribing via email, you will be able to see
the format used for each file and duplicate that for other users added via
the web.
