After further testing, we've determined that IMail doesn't use the user.txt
file for determining subscribers. How did we determine?

1. We subscribed to a list via email to the imailsrv
2. After subscribing via email we deleted the users.txt file for the list
3. We issued a help and list command to the imailsrv alias
4. We received the proper response back

Here's what we've noticed in the syntax of the entry into the users.lst
file.

1. When adding a subscriber via email, the email address is entered without
brackets <>
2. When adding a subscriber via the web interface, the email address is
entered with brackets <>

3. Email address without brackets can issue list and help commands to the
imailsrv.
4. Email addresses with brackets receive the following error:

The Help Message for (listname) is for subscribers only!

Can someone confirm this behavior?

IPSwitch can you patch the web interface to enter the email addresses in the
same format from both the web interface and via imailsrv?

We're running version 6.02.

Thanks!
