Hi,
we just installed the IMail v6.0 Eval and ran into several problems:
(1) High System Load
After 5-6 hours the system load increases from about 2% to 100%. In Task
Manager appear several instances of smtpd popping up in intervalls of
about one second, eating around 40% cpu performance. After rebooting the
machine (PII/400, 128 MB RAM, SCSI) everything works fine again -- for
5-6 hrs. We have something around 30 active users with not too much
e-mail-traffic (less than one mail per user every five minutes or so).
Rebooting NT server twice a day is a fine "workaround", but I would
prefer to get along without this.
(2) Postmaster-Alias doesen't work
The "root" -> "postmaster"-Alias doesn't work; The user "root" exists
and works; the alias "postmaster" (resolved to "root") does exist also,
but mail to "postmaster" is never being delivered. Other (later created)
Aliases do work fine.
Does anybody have an idea why this happens?
