Do you know enough about DLLs to say that the code could be changed to use
column names instead of column positions? Are DLLs compiled in C?

Thanks

Well I didn't write this DLL but looking over the code it looks as if they
are binding to specific column numbers and therefore the data must be in the
right column or it won't work. Maybe this speeds things up! This appears
to be used in two sections of the DLL, but because many sections use the SQL
to specify columns in SELECTS, UPDATES, and INSERTS, it would not be
required for all operations with the DB. Still it is required that their
fields occupy the first 9 columns for the binding.

Good Luck,

I see your repaired DLL. I have a couple questions with it, and the DLL in
general.

I am using IBM DB2 and the current dll can read and write to the table. I
have some issues with the position of the required values in the table. Why
do they have to be sequential, and why at the beginning of the table?

Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know where to get the new and improved ODBC DLL that I saw in a
message a few weeks ago?

TIA
Randall
