I do not think that the updated dll works with Access and Fox Pro as it uses
server side cursors. However, I have not tested it in this config so I am
not sure.

I think your orignial post indicated you were using Visual FoxPro.
I don't have any experience with FoxPro and Imail. (I do have some
experience with FoxPro but I do it so rarely that I always have a hard time
even making the connection string work.)
However, my system works great on Sql7.
The directions were quite accurate except that I had to make sure that I set
up my DSN string:
DSN;UID=myuid;PWD=mypwd;DB=my_imail_db
and I found it always worked best if I let IMAIL create the tables.
I switched to Mike Nice's odbc dll instead of the Imail supplied dll:
http://home.att.net/~niceman/
I suppose this should work about the same with vFP but I just have
insufficient experience with it to know the nuances.

Hard to believe that no one on this list is using an external database with
Imail :-((((
Come on people, someone has to be using ODBC on windows NT or 2000. I could
sure use some help here.
Thanks
