I'm using 6.02 with relay for addresses set and I found myself on the RBL
list. I've been trying to get off it for weeks now, with no luck. Any
ideas?

Check your logs and you will see what kind of tests
they are running. They will include test like:

user@[000.000.000.000]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Pretty much if you are relaying for local hosts then
the '[EMAIL PROTECTED] will get you busted with ORBS.
True there are not as many people using ORBS as
there used to be but when your server is listed in there
it can ouch a little.

If you are running a wide open relay like some Imail
Admins I know are, then you might also find yourself in
the RBL. That is a big ouch.

The only security option I have seen that really passes is
Relay for Addresses. I know a lot of of folks don't like
because they have to educate lusers on the reality of
SMTP authentication.

If I recall the message does have to make a round trip
through the relay tester. Even the guy that runs the
DUL uses IMS for a MTA. IMS coupled with Paul
Sica's filters will accept the messages but will not
send them back out. I know it works because I kept
my IMS server out of ORBS for a couple of years. :)
