As no-one was able to throw any light on this problem for me, I thought it
would be useful to post my findings here for anyone else who might have
this problem.
It seems that you cannot install IMail in windows default location of
drive:/program files/ because Imail cannot deal with the space in the
directory name. Probably other things than Lists stop working.
Yes it's that simple, but even Ipswitch themselves were not aware of this one.
