A product never mentioned here that might deserve some consideration for
Email filtering / Virus protection is called MailWall from OmniQuad
(www.omniquad.com) While initially their price may seem high, your must
consider that their pricing is based on a "CONCURRENT" users basis. (not
total!) If you were to look at how many folks are accessing your system at
the same time, this product might be worth some serious consideration....

The nice part about this product is that it will allow you to filter against
any criteria you wish... user, subject, body text, attachment text, etc.
Further, it can utilize up to 8 different Virus Scan engines simultaneously.

As an added bonus, this product will also allow you to filter against ~all~
or ~some~ of the Mail-Abuse.Org's *SPAM* lists.

I am currently playing with this product, and will let you know my findings.
Has anyone else successfully implemented or experimented with this product
under an iMail setup?

Actually, WebShield SMTP does work (at least in version 4.5). I have a
small single domain site and it works just fine for me. BUT, the main
reason I am using it is because I have McAfee's Total Virus Defense and it
is included.

Hi folks,

I'm still looking for the solution for anti-virus
with IMail. It appears that the consensus of the list
was that McAfee's product - WebShield SMTP - doesn't
work.

So, I'm trying Trend-Micro's InterScan VirusWall.
Any commentary?

Thanks,
Tom
