What mail client is she using?
Netscape has some "issues" when using an "@"
If you change it to a % it works fine. jane.doe%theirdomain.com instead.
This should work, as we had the same problem.
Yes, the MacOS is much easier to work with than Windows, but an application
is only as good as who wrote it. And Apple doesn't currently have an email
app.
