This means that the sender tried to send mail to Imail and Imail saw that
@whatever.com was

"not a local host"
(Imail accepts ALL mail for localhosts from any (non-authenticated) SMTP
client)

and

"not a gateway"
(whatever.com was not found to be in NT hosts file, so Imail has not been
told to "gateway"/relay mail for whatever.com)

So your Imail anti-spam defense is working as expected.

In order a sender to relay mail through Imail to any non-Imail whatever.com
server, the sender's "SMTP client" (ie, his mail program) must "present its
credentials" with SMTP AUTH, where the SMTP AUTH of Imail will check the
accountname + password in Imail against that presented by the sender mail
program. If accepted, you will see Imail log this as 'accepted as local
(user)', ie, "trust" this "SMTP client" program and relay mail for it.
