I'd stay away from WebShield if possible. If all you care about is making sure known
viruses don't get through, it's 100% reliable at that. But, I've found it very flaky
and finnicky with next to zero support. Just as an example, I found out this morning
that when you try to stop the service, it allows new incoming connections, and only
stops when there it has nothing else to do (if you have a busy mail server, it might
not be able to stop at all). When you have 500 E-mails that got backed up, and have
to keep stopping and restarting the service to send out a few at a time, that one
little flaw/feature is a nightmare. Then there was the time that it sent out 100+
megs of duplicated E-mails (the logs show the messages coming in once, and getting
sent out 3 times).
There was someone here who had recently mentioned that they had had good luck with a
virus scanner, but I don't recall which one it was. I'll see if I can find it, if it
doesn't get posted here soon.
