Terry,
There are quite a number of things that can affect attachments, almost all
of them are outside of IMail! Browsers, email clients, network connections
and more can all affect attechments (and regular mail!). One thing, though,
a simple email message can be as little as about 100 bytes to a couple of K,
but attachments make this grow, very quickly.
So I would suggest you try something simple. First create a simple email
message and send it to yourself (in IMail). All OK, good! Now send another
simple email, this time copy and past a large amount of text (a couple of
pages) from another file and send that. Still OK? Create and send another
message and some text, and attach the text file. Still good?
If you made it this far, whatever is attached (text, executables or doc
files), should not make any difference to IMail. If you did this all with
Web MSG, then the Browser is probably not recognizing what to do with the
specific file extensions (types).
As for your second item, I'm afraid I'm not sure what you are saying, in
particular when you say, "any 3 character user id attempted ". Maybe is you
tell us what is being attempted (sending email, creating this account,...??)
