Okay - the first thing you need to check is whether the NT machine itself
can see and has bound those IPs to itself.
>From the NT machine, go to a command prompt and run ipconfig /all. Make sure
that ALL of the IPs are listed. Then ping each of those IPs that you are
having a problem with... see if the NT server gets a reply from each one, to
make certain that NT has done what its supposed to do. If either of these
steps fail, you have an issue with NT. I'd recommend reinistalling Service
Pack 6a (assuming you're running NT4.0) and making sure the configuration is
correct (well, check the config first, but I assume you've done that).
If NT is able to ping all the IPs, then you've got another issue - possibly
a routing issue. Check the subnet mask and the IPs you've assigned, and make
sure they are on the same physical/logistical network as the other IPs that
work. If they aren't, you're going to have to play an interesting game with
gateways, routing tables, and possibly secondary NICs. I can give you more
information if you can reply to me directly and give me the IPs you're
trying to make work with their subnet mask and gateway.

Hi ,
can any one tell me what exactly happening in my crazy system.
I have NT machine running imail server 6 , it have several ips assigned to
it , when I dial to my network I can ping on some ips and some of them never
reply (time outs),at the same time , so email users which use domains with
those Ips can't connect to my server to get the mail.
so the problem is some ips work and other don't !
Can you tell me what I can do.
