QUESTION: Is there a way to send messages from my iMail Server using VBScript running on an Active Server Page? BACKGROUND: My goal is to retrieve client-side information from an html form and use this to format and send email. I have accomplished this using CDONTS and Microsoft SMTP (set to inbound port 26 for friendly coexistence with iMail). The downside of this approach is that it requires Microsoft SMTP to be running. Of course MS SMTP is configured to restrict access, but I think it would be better if MS SMTP was not needed at all. Better to use iMail with its built in security.
