Tushar,

After the 'download', the main.mbx file in the users folder, should be 0
bytes. If it is not, the client is not actually downloading all the mail, or
not deleting the messages it got (I'm assuming you are using POP3). Check
this on the server with IMail Administrator (select the users account and
the directory tab to see message count and file sizes).

If the server were getting the same mail multiple times, this would show up
in the log with the same From:, To: and message size and you could see this
recorded in the log (assuming your SMTP and POP3 have this enabled and log
server is running). Athough if this were happening, I would think you might
see multiple copies of one or more messages, when you checked the account
first time that day. If this were true, then IMail and the remote server are
having communications problems (the remote is not getting the
acknowledgement from IMail to indicate it received the message). Again, log
files will help to show if this is a problem.

Deleting the uid file is just removing the index to the mailbox and would
have no effect on the contents of the main.mbx file (the actual email
messages). Although this might help in some circumstances, I cannot see that
it would in this case, at least based on what you have said.
