>Not an error message I have seen before from IMail, Len.

I know, it's weird for postfix to be so loquoacious, usually it
reports just 4xx or 5xx responses.

6.04

no, i suspect there's a firewall or proxy. Perhaps the proxy box is
blowing smoke back because itself is overloaded. I don't have clear
picture of their network.

yeah, I see that in my IMGate logs a lot (my Imail doesn't do
internet deliveries anymore) when trying to send to mail servers with
"quotas" on accounts.

>What do you mean, you cannot send him mail? How about an 'end around',

Yeah, I could do that since I know the hostname of his Imail box,
even though all his 100 MX's point at IMGate

>Remember your mantra?
>Read the logs.... Read the logs.... Read the logs......

I can't read his logs!! I can't even send him mail. but i can telnet
into his IMGate machine and read those logs, not pretty.

>Can local users in IMail, send email to themselves or other users in that or

I don't know what's going on at the Imail level. But something is
really clogged up somewhere.

Ok, thanks
