RE: [IMail Forum] "Official Host name"

Len,

I hate this DNS GUI of Win2K!! ;-)))

If I have added the 2 MX records, the dns txt file looks like this:

| patrick                  MX   10      mail.bekz.net.
| mail.patrick         MX       10      mail.bekz.net.
`----------------------
(I think that Win2K adds the ".be.kz" extention automaticly to the host
names...)

Than when I want to add this A record:
domain.com.          A  ip.ad.re.ss  ; of web server

The DNS txt file looks like this:
,--------------
|patrick                 A      212.204.213.204
|                        MX     10      mail.bekz.net.
|mail.patrick            MX     10      mail.bekz.net.
`-------------------
Notice that the "patrick" from the first MX record is gone...
The "A" record is created.

Why is this Win2K thing fighting with me!?! ;-))
Do I need to continue adding DNS or is it wrong this way?
