>I hate this DNS GUI of Win2K!! ;-)))

Come on, GUI's make everything so easy, don't have know anything,
just check them boxes, click those buttons, and pray!!!

>If I have added the 2 MX records, the dns txt file looks like this:
>,--------
>| patrick MX 10 mail.bekz.net.
>| mail.patrick MX 10 mail.bekz.net.

ok

>`----------------------
>(I think that Win2K adds the ".be.kz" extention automaticly to the host
>names...)

Is "think" a synonyum for "guess"?

>Than when I want to add this A record:
>domain.com. A ip.ad.re.ss ; of web server

simple enough desire

>The DNS txt file looks like this:
>,--------------
>|patrick A 212.204.213.204
>| MX 10 mail.bekz.net.
>|mail.patrick MX 10 mail.bekz.net.

there are text files in W2K? :)))

>`-------------------
>Notice that the "patrick" from the first MX record is gone...
>The "A" record is created.

when the hostname is absent, the preceding hostname is
implicit. This is RFC zone file convention, not MS.

>Do I need to continue adding DNS or is it wrong this way?

Let the GUI goo however it wants, then you test it with nslookup or dig.
