You may want to run the spool clean helper app as a scheduled task once a
day. Also try checking your SMTP Security settings, and log files, and make
sure that you are not being used as a spam relay host, which will bog down
your server and cause your spool to build up.
Hope this helps

Subject: [IMail Forum] Growing spool
After having serious problem with version 6.04 I was excited to see the
release of the 6.05 and 6.05a patches (which were supposed to solve my
difficulty). So I installed version 6.05 on a new NT 4 sp6 machine (PIII
733 MHX, 128 MB RAM).
The first days everything seemed to be working fine, but now Im
experiencing the same problem I had with the previous version: at some
point, and without ant apparent reason for it, the spool starts to grow
notoriously. It seems that incoming and outgoing mails get stuck there,
causing inconvenient delays for our users (and ourselves). Sometimes,
rebooting the system fixes the problem, but in most cases it doesnt.
Am I the only one suffering from this? Is it my imagination or IMail is not
a relieble product anymore?
